The high hydric deficit, increasingly concerning, implies that
sustainable reuse of wastewater is becoming more necessary. Two
different research lines are in the works:
Natural system treatment: artificial wetlands. With the
purpose of improving their performance, we evaluate design and
exploitation parameters of degradation for specific organic pollutants.
Byproduct formation during water disinfection. The
processes under evaluation are chlorination, UV and O3 in
secondary and tertiary effluents with different organic matter
content
